Dishonesty and Arrogance of Politicians

U.S. politicians never fail to amaze me with their dishonesty and arrogance.

How can anyone seriously believe that the recent supreme court decision to allow corporations unlimited spending on political campaigns right up until the day of the election as a "free speech" issue????

This is a sad day for our political process! It will be big money will slander candidates on the eve of an election when there is no time to respond or disprove claims. This isn't a party issue, since both sides will do it, its a truth and honesty issue. Anyone with enough money and an axe to grind, can destroy a candidate and that candidate will have no chance to respond.

We need to take big money OUT of our politic NOT give it more power!!!

Elections should not be bought buy the person with the most money.

The proponents of big money controlling elections argue that its the responsibility of the voters to educate themselves on the candidates and issues and make an informed decision, and the big money isn't buying elections but just providing information. Which is all true in theory, but in reality is a lie. Big money knows that voters are easily manipulated with money and mis-information, the tea-baggers and the birthers are perfect examples. Most voters will believe almost anything and big money knows this, they know that they can throw out the most insane dis-information, twisting facts however they like and they can get a significant portion of the voters to believe them.

The moderate center of this nation is being marginalized by big money. The extreme fringes are controlling our elections, and big money knows that these fringes are the most easily manipulated, so they are targetting them, and they don't want any limits on how much money they can throw at elections.

Put out the "For Sale" sign on our government!!

It seems that the U.S. supreme court has decided that our government should be up for sale to whomever has the most money! Good Luck to the average citizen in ever getting your voice heard!

Just the threat or fear of corporate lobbyist money pouring into a campaign against them will make EVERY Senator and Representative in the U.S. Congress be a pawn of big money. Why on earth would any representative care one iota what happens to the average citizen, when faced with a giant un-ending coffer of big business cash? Congress will have to do whatever big money wants, or else face an avalanche of money against them in the next election.

Oh but surely the campaign advertising will be honest and truthful, and would never be deceitful or misrepresent facts???

Wall Street greed almost wrecks the financial industry, does anything change??? NOPE! Why, big business and big money OWN our government, why would they want to change a systems that makes them so rich, and bails them out when they screw up??

Big money knows they can control fringe elements of our society, and use that to insure that nothing is ever accomplished, and that nothing ever changes.

IF this were really a democracy, and if it were truely government by the people and for the people, why would so few have so much, and so many have so little?

We all know whats right and wrong. Obscene corporate profits and excessive executive salaries are wrong. If this is a democracy, why aren't those things stopped?
